Due to some unfortunate circumstances beyond my control, I lost all of my teeth at the age of 30. I was given the... standard set of dentures and sent on my way. For 14 years I have only wore my upper denture. The bottom denture was always too painful to wear and would pop up and out when I would try to eat. Over the years I have consulted various dentistsonly to be told that I had too shallow of a gum plate to wear lower dentures. I eventually just accepted that for the rest of my life I would have no bottom teeth. I have always kept a positive attitude towards all the bumps and bruises life has handed me, but it’s hard to smile big when you are happy and show the world a broken smile.For our tenth Anniversary, my husband scheduled a vacation to Cozumel. After many google searches and correspondence back and forth with several dentists on the island, we selected Dental Care Cozumel...having no idea what to expect.Until I walked into DRA Yazmin’s Dental Office I had little faith in what dentistry could do for me. From the very beginning DRA Yazmin and DRA Janet treated me with such care and compassion unlike anything I have ever experienced in any doctor’s office. I was just not teeth and gums to them, I was a person they wanted to know and help. They took the time to listen to my story and for once in my life I did not feel shame. These women are not just dentists, they areartists who transform lives. From beginning to end they created my dentures to not only fit inside my mouth comfortably but they also shaped them to help define my jaw structure and give my lips back their definition. They took video of me speaking with my old dentures and then, throughout the process, with the new teeth until satisfied with not only function and alignment, but also new jaw definition. All so they could better understand how my jaw moves and better fit the dentures. These ladies were determined to finally give me usable, comfortable bottom teeth and they succeeded in an AMAZING WAY!! I can not put into words the emotions felt when we returned from "vacation" and my son says "Mom is back. This is the mom I know and rememberfrom all those years ago!" These women literally gave me back my smile!I feel like I have a new beginning and the confidenceto let the world see me smile. All because these two very lovely, talented, and compassionate women cared enough to TRY for me. There is no way I can ever thank them enough and I will be eternally grateful for all they have done. The world is definitely a better place with them in it. If you truly want dentists that care with quality of work you will find no where else, then I highly recommend you travel whatever distance you have to for them to give you a smile worth showing the world. They are now my dentists for life and feel blessed to have gained them as part of my soul family.read more

Called to make an appointment the day of and they contacted me immediately to set it up. Had a root canal done by Dra.... Yuritzi Navarro. She was very professional and did great work. I had no pain at all. She explained what she was doing every step of the way. I will be back. Facilities are first rate.read more

We arrived at our first Port of Call - Cozumel, Mexico today. Arrived on Revolution Day (a holiday I presume) with... bands and a parade along the Malecon. Spent some of our morning at the dentist reinstalling a gold crown that broke off last night at dinner on the ship.I was worried that everything would be closed but we found a fantastic dentist and she saw me within five minutes of arrival. She was able to clean up the tooth and re-fasten the crown with 10 minutes. It should hold until I get back home and have it checked. May need a root canal in addition to a new crown.
